With Lean Me we set out to create the only professional level, fully integrated diet and fitness tracking software for the iPhone. To that end, we had an ACSM Certified Personal Trainer on site throughout every day of development, leveraging his 17 years of experience to help us really understand the difficulties of counting calories and how to make Lean Me both as powerful and as intuitive as possible.
You could get about 80% of the functionality in Lean Me by purchasing a handful of other applications, but even then you would never have the efficiency of those tools being integrated so tightly together (eg. Changing weight automatically > changes lean body mass > changes metabolism estimate > changes Calorie target > changes remaining Calories for today).
